I loved the colors in the original pattern so much , I didnt even want to change it. :)

Still learning the basics of crochet, I completed my second project - baby booties. 

Hopefully in coming days you will see more of crochet projects from me. On list - blanket , sweater , small cap.

Yellow Crochet Hat - 1st crochet project

Had never earlier tried crochet or knitting , thinking that its too complicated. 


Last weekend on insist from Hubby to know atleast some basic crochet or knitting , got one wool yarn & crochet- G needle.And checked out some tutorial videos in Youtube.


And finally started with this yellow hat :)  ( completed in 12-14 hrs) 

This hat involves - Single crochet & double crochet .

Finally after 4 months taking an on and off in between , I completed the anchor kit..

Hancock Fabrics - Richfield , MN , US

Yesterday went to "Hancock Fabrics" here at Richfield.. Was a gr8 experience..

They have gr8 variety of threads ( DMC brand and others) , Fabrics and of all the accessories required for stitching like beads , hooks etc..

Feel like getting back to my hobby soon when time permits. :)

I am not available for next few days..

Tanjore painting steps captured in snaps..

I had captured pics during each stage of my Tanjore painting learning.. Sharing here the collage. I know videos would have helped in better understanding of the procedure.
Will surely try to take them in my next Tanjore project.
( Board preparation pics were not cauptured. The painting was done from scratch - from board preparation)
